Equipping the Saints - Introduction
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Pastor Kyle O'Donnell introduces our new sermon series, Equipping the Saints, using Ephesians 4:1-16. The Church is more than an organization; it's a living organism, the very body of Christ composed of His people. Organisms grow, and grow well, or not well. How are we growing? How are we maturing as the body of Christ? This is the work of ministry, the calling of the saints, the ultimate aim of the Church - and we need to be equipped for it. As we enter this season of re-invigoration and renewal, it seems fitting that we should focus on "equipping the saints for the work of ministry" (Eph. 4:12), to help enable and encourage us in our life together.

Resting in God’s Deliverance - Sabbatical Psalms
Friday Sep 02, 2022
Friday Sep 02, 2022
Senior Pastor Warren Harvey preaches on Psalm 40. While we may not have experienced literally being dropped in a pit or mired in the mud, we all have or will have times in life that we might describe as "hitting rock bottom," "coming to the end of our rope," or "spinning our wheels. Times when our own sin or the sin of others or just the general suffering that is sin produces so overwhelms us that we have no hope except admit our plight and cry out for help. As we cry out to God, he is faithful to his great and precious promise to deliver. And it is in his deliverance through life's pits and bogs, that God strengthens our walk, deepens our worship and empowers our witness for him, as we rest and rejoice in the One who is our help and deliverer. Join us as we conclude our Sabbatical Psalms series by listening and learning from Psalm 40.

Resting in God’s Tender Care - Sabbatical Psalms
Thursday Aug 25, 2022
Thursday Aug 25, 2022
Pastor Warren Harvey preaches on Psalm 131. Most of us can identify with what it means to be busy, preoccupied, anxious, distracted, driven, disappointed, constantly under pressure of some sorts. It goes with living in a fast-paced, noisy world with constant demands on us. Yet, God calls us to be still, and Jesus promises us his peace, which is not like the world's version. How do we gain such soul-stillness, such inner-quiet in the busy cares and concerns of life? Psalm 131 helps us find that answer. Join us Sunday as we listen and learn from one who has a calmed, quieted soul.

Resting in the Eternal Nature of God - Sabbatical Psalms
Tuesday Aug 16, 2022
Tuesday Aug 16, 2022
Senior Pastor Warren Harvey teaches on Psalm 90. How do you gain wisdom for your life? By contemplating the reality of your death. That may sound morbid, but in Psalm 90, God tells us that wisdom for living a life of eternal significance is found in considering and counting the temporal nature of our life here on earth. Such wisdom comes only when the brevity and burdens of our life are considered in contrast to the eternal wisdom and steadfast love of our God in Christ. Join us as we look at what it means to rest in the eternal wisdom of God.

What does your soul long for? What makes you sing with joy? If you follow your heart, where does it lead you? Where would you spend only one day if you could? Whatever your answer to those questions, it likely reflects something, someone or somewhere that you believe will make you happy, bring you peace, provide you security. In reality, there is only one place and one person who can provide all those things perfectly, that is the presence of the living God. Join us as we look at Psalm 84 and what it means too long for, journey to and dwell in the presence of God where we find true rest.

Thursday Aug 04, 2022
Thursday Aug 04, 2022
Pastor Warren Harvey returns to the pulpit to preach on Psalm 104, inaugurating the five-week series on the his favorite Sabbatical Psalms. What causes your soul to wonder, to marvel, to be in awe? A great sports achievement, an epic novel, a masterful work of art or music, a feat of technology? As grand and glorious as man’s achievements may be, they are but shadows of the grandeur and glory of God on display daily all around us in his creation. Psalm 104 calls us to wonder, to marvel, to be in awe at the greatness and goodness of God as we consider the works of his hand in the world all around us. Such wonder should lead us to rejoice as well as to rest in the powerful, providential arms of our God and Savior. Join us this Sunday as we consider how great is our God!

Pastor Kyle O'Donnell concludes the 1 John sermon series preaching on 1 John 5:21; it is recommended that you read all of 1 John prior to listening to the sermon. This short verse punctuating the end of John's letter is no after-thought, but indeed, a fitting summary of John's exhortations. Keep close to Jesus, the only true revelation of God, the one who keeps you, and keep yourselves from idols. Let us heed, and keep abiding in Christ.

Elder Don Knox shares from John 4:3-30; 39-42. Jesus has a revealing conversation with a woman at the local watering hole. More surprising than a rabbi (religious leader) talking with a Samaritan woman (an outcast) is the changing tone and questions and conversation topics. What do you think Jesus would ask you if you unexpectedly ran into Him?
